The Parade and the Memorial
« on: July 27, 2010, 11:24:30 AM »
Some years ago, there was a Parade. I like a parade as anybody else and it was nice, horses, old cars, band....
But there was something very close to my heart, as a Veteran, it was that ceremony at the small park near the City Hall and after going to the VFW. There was the band from the school, and a lot of adults with their  kids and grandkids.
I think it was the guy from the Chamber of Commerce, but he is gone and the parade is gone. Never saw him after
that.

I guess the poeple that set that stuff up move on and then the event is gone which very unfortunate. IMHO

Sorry but what means IMHO..?
 I am old, I don't feel like learning all the shortcuts...I rage and rave enough about the low level of education, I don't even know if my great grandkids [15] can read,  but they can text!
I see you in uniform, what Branch? Why you don't start a parade for the Veterans of all venues.

IMHO= in my humble opinion

I would like to see efforts for the vets but I simply just don't have the time working 2 jobs.
